A spoonful of sugar…
While I can’t imagine my triplets having ever gone without a sweet treat on their birthday, not all children are fortunate enough to have something special to enjoy on their birthday.
Through wonderful organizations such as Icing Smiles and Cakes 4 Kids, I am able to bake cakes and cookies for children who would otherwise go without. Whether a child is battling an illness and just needs a “spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down,” or whether a child is in an unfortunate situation and living without a family to wish them a happy birthday, receiving a sweet treat can mean the world.
In addition, I take time to support local organizations fighting for social justice and equality. A portion of our proceeds go towards funding powerful forces of positive change within our community.
